Walking Poetry - A new innovation from the Ilkely Literature Festival

As part of the Ilkley Literature Festival (http://www.ilkleyliteraturefestival.org.uk/) the renowned poet Simon Armitage has written 6 new water based poems. These poems have been carved into stone and positioned to form a series of walking trails.
The trails have been divided up into - short family walks of less than one hour which would be idea for a day trip out during the weekend (Autumn Weather permitting!), there are 3 full day walks and last but not least the full trail itself of 47 miles - though this is not for the faint hearted.
The full map of the various trails can be downloaded from - http://www.ilkleyliteraturefestival.org.uk/test/stanza-stones-trail-guide/ or in hard copy by sending an A5 SAE to the value of £1.10 to The Manor House, 2 Castle Hill, Ilkley, LS29 9DT. The trail guide also includes info as regards parking, toilets, pubs, tea rooms and cafes.
The trail guide has been designed so you can do as little or as much as you want to.
Also if you feel inspired by the stones or scenery the Ilkely Festival asks that you email them in to development@ilkleyliteraturefestival.org.uk
